Effective July 1, 2015
The amount of the Federal Universal Service Charge (FUSC) will increase from 16.6% to 17.1%. This is the result of an increase by the Federal Communications Commission’s universal service fund contribution factor. The Federal Universal Service Fund program is designed to help keep local telephone service rates affordable for all customers, in all areas of the United States. Please note that Cherokee Communications remits this amount to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
