Do I need to subscribe to Cherokee High-Speed Internet in order to receive TV service?
In order to improve your experience, Cherokee is constantly updating our service offerings. Our TV signal is delivered over the Internet in a service commonly known as IPTV. For now, a high-speed Internet subscription is required to deliver TV service.
What is a Set Top Box?
A Set Top Box is the device used to deliver TV programming over the Internet to your TV.
Do I need a Set Top Box for every TV?
Yes. Our system is pure digital. In order to deliver the best service, you’ll need a separate Set Top Box for each TV.
What is the Set Top Box fee?
All of our TV subscription packages include one Set Top Box. If you wish to purchase more, please contact us for additional pricing.
What are DVR and Whole Home DVR, and how do they work?
DVR stands for digital video recorder. Used with CherokeeTV, DVR gives you the option to pause, play and record programming for your convenience. Whole Home DVR gives you the freedom to use this feature on any connected TV in your home.
Can I subscribe to TV without bundling?
Since CherokeeTV is delivered via a broadband connection, you will need to bundle with high-speed Internet. For more information, contact customer support.

What does broadband mean?
Broadband refers to the signal speed of telecommunications, specifically Internet speeds. Typically, the bigger the number, the faster the signal is delivered.
What broadband speeds does Cherokee offer?
Cherokee offers 3MB/second, 5MB/second and 8MB/second. Click here to see our most recent subscription rates.
What is the wireless fee?
The wireless fee covers the cost of the wireless modem which delivers a wireless Internet signal to your wifi-ready devices.
Is the wireless fee mandatory?
Yes. Cherokee provides customers with a unique four-port modem, which is necessary to provide the wireless signal. This fee helps offset the device cost.
Can I subscribe to high-speed Internet without bundling?
Cherokee High-Speed Internet is delivered over your existing phone line. And while it may be possible to install high-speed Internet without phone service, it actually costs less to bundle phone and Internet than to subscribe to Internet alone. So, if you just want Internet, subscribe to both and save money. For more information, contact customer support.

What is the price per minute for long distance?
Long distance service includes 250 minutes, but you don’t have to stop there. For customers who exceed the 250 minutes included with long distance, the price is $0.03 per additional minute.
Can I have a lifeline phone with DSL and TV only?
We do not currently offer lifeline phone with DSL and TV only. For more information about lifeline phone service, contact us.
